The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry, awarded the Research Award in the area of Chemical Engineering Dr. Juan Ortega Saavedra, for his contributions in the field of Thermodynamics and physical chemistry of fluids and applications in separation processes. The award involves the recognition of the company CEPSA 2010 at the Innovation and Engineering Chemistry.
On November 10, 2010, Dr. Juan Ortega Saavedra delivered the lecture "An exciting area of research using thermodynamics and Science" on the spot to become a member of the Instituto de Estudios Canarios (La Laguna, Tenerife), section Technology and Applied Sciences.
El 10 de noviembre de 2010, el Dr. Juan Ortega Saavedra pronunció la conferencia "Un apasionante campo de investigación utilizando la Termodinámica como Ciencia" en el acto de ingreso como miembro del Instituto de Estudios Canarios (La Laguna, Tenerife), en la sección de Tecnología y Ciencias Aplicadas.

Navas Martínez submitted doctoral dissertation, directed by Dr. Juan Ortega, entitled ''Experimentación y modelización de las mezclas binarias de ésteres de alquilo y líquidos iónicos derivados del piridinio con dibromoalcanos" at the University of Vigo getting top marks Cum Laude (29 Octubre 2010).
Elena Marrero Déniz submitted doctoral dissertation, directed by Dr. Juan Ortega, entitled ''Fisicoquimica de Sistemas Binarios de Dicloroalcanos con Esteres y Líquidos Iónicos "at the University of Vigo getting top marks Cum Laude (11 February 2010).
At the doctoral thesis entitled "Desarrollo y aplicación de un modelo paramétrico para correlacionar la función de Gibbs y sus derivadas en sistemas multicomponentes" presented by Don Fernando Espiau Castellano and directed by Dr. Juan Ortega, has been honored as Best Doctoral Thesis in the technological area of the call 2009. This award will be presented at the investiture ceremony of doctors (30 January 2010).
